Cantallops Legal is a law firm based in Palma de Mallorca and focused on inheritance matters, real estate law and wealth-related taxation. The firm is built on a clear idea: in significant private wealth matters, facts, strategy and tax consequences must be analysed together.

We advise clients in Mallorca, across the Balearic Islands and throughout Spain, as well as people living elsewhere in Europe who own assets or have interests in Spain. We work both in person in Palma and by video call.

Our focus

Inheritance, private wealth and taxation

We have chosen not to cover every area of law, but to focus on the matters where we can add the greatest value:

  • Inheritance and succession: estate planning, wills, forced heirship, succession agreements, disputes between heirs, legacies and family business matters.
  • Real estate and private wealth law: property purchases in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands, ownership structures and protection of family wealth.
  • Wealth and inheritance taxation: Inheritance and Gift Tax, personal income tax, non-resident income tax, corporate tax, VAT, tax regularisations and tax-risk analysis.

In practice, almost every significant asset transaction depends on its tax viability. A structure may look legally correct and still be the wrong move if the tax cost is excessive or creates future exposure. That is why tax analysis is central at Cantallops Legal, not an afterthought.

Working meeting at Cantallops Legal with clients from the Balearic Islands, mainland Spain and other European countries.
We advise families, private wealth structures and businesses from the Balearic Islands, the rest of Spain and other European countries, combining legal analysis, tax analysis and advanced legal technology.

What sets us apart

Legal, tax and technological analysis within one strategy

At Cantallops Legal:

  • We do not separate the civil or corporate analysis from the tax analysis: each matter is assessed as a whole.
  • We use legal technology to review rules, compare scenarios and prepare documentation with greater precision.

The result is advice that is:

  • legally rigorous,
  • tax-consistent,
  • and clear for the client.

Collaboration

Working with the right specialists

No single professional can cover everything. Alongside our own focus on key wealth matters, we rely on a network of collaborators:

  • other specialist lawyers, for example in criminal, family or employment law;
  • court agents with substantial experience before courts and tribunals;
  • accountants and tax advisers;
  • and technical experts such as valuers or economists.

Working philosophy

Ambition and judgement in the defence of your interests

We believe in well-directed ambition and practical judgement:

  • finding the strongest legal solution when the law offers genuine room to improve the client’s position;
  • not settling for mediocre solutions when stronger, more efficient or lower-risk alternatives exist.

Our approach combines technical rigour, strategic reading of the case and execution capacity.

Statement from the founding partner

A personal view of the law

My understanding of the law is shaped by a preference for deep thinking, structured analysis and the degree of pragmatism that each case requires. I am interested in how rules, legal structures, taxes and the client’s circumstances fit together, as if they formed a single geometry of concepts.

Law often becomes more complex as more dimensions appear. A solution that looks only at the contractual layer may ignore essential dimensions such as tax, family, personal or business consequences. In my work, I try to analyse each matter in full so that the solution truly fits the client’s needs.

That is why at Cantallops Legal we work with an orderly method and rely on advanced legal technology to review rules and visualise scenarios in greater depth. Law cannot be practised today in the same way as ten years ago: we need more clarity, more coherence and more rigour.
